We’re excited to bring forward Land at Crabbet Park – a site allocated in Mid Sussex District Council’s (MSDC) Submission Draft Local Plan that will deliver around 1,950 new homes alongside the facilities and infrastructure that help communities thrive.
Two developers are working together to bring these plans to life:
- Wates Developments is creating approximately 1,500 homes, alongside key community facilities including schools, employment space, and a neighbourhood centre.
- Slingsby Property Group is developing the western area, delivering approximately 450 homes.
We’ve appointed architects JTP to work with us and you to shape these proposals before we submit outline planning applications to Mid Sussex District Council in 2027.
What we’re planning
We’re committed to creating a vibrant, sustainable place where people want to live, work and spend time. The plans include:
- New homes for local people, including 30% affordable.
- Education facilities for young people growing up here.
- Employment space bringing job opportunities closer to home.
- A neighbourhood centre with shops and services on your doorstep.
- Public open space for wildlife, play and relaxation.
- Sustainable transport making it easy to get around.
We’re working closely with Mid Sussex District Council, Crawley Borough Council, and Worth Parish Council to make sure these proposals work for both existing and future residents.
From Friday 11 September, click here to see the emerging proposals and click here to have your say until Friday 2 October 2026.
